Wow, thanks for the compliments! Sorry to kick this up probably from ages ago but thanks to everyone who bought the cd and thanks for the kind words.

Vamp s/t was recorded very quickly in a garage mostly live except for vocal and never intended for release until Perris got a copy and the rest is history. It was recorded on a 8 track very low budget, it is being remixed and mastered for release this year, it still sells really well and everyday I'm shocked that people are still buying it. The songs on the disc were being recorded as they were being written, I don't like alot of them as they were made better about six months of rehearsals and shows after it was released.

Tales of Love and Lovelessness was the sophmore release, we had a real producer a great studio was amassed and well the pressure built. The songs are alot more mature because they were developed and refined before being put to tape. I was in the mindset of 1: Expecting Perfection and 2: Trying to redifine glam. It was recorded in 1997 over a years time, it was tedious and never 100% finished. The vocals are complete except on Juliets revenge, the were twp versions, one called Juliets Revenge and one titled Cyberpunk gothic boy, the chorus's are from Cyber punk while the verses are Juliets. The last of you has been around since the Vainglory days and has never been completed it's as close as we ever got.
At the time 97' Matchbox 20 type bands were ruling the airwaves and I really liked the sound so I added acoustic to alot of the tracks, I liked what it did to the fullness, this caused alot of friction in the band and everyone could not picture what I was going for.

I'm very happy with the results of Tales, it is a very good album but could have been great if we were able to handle ourselves as well.

It is alot more mature, I said anything goes, I didn't care if we were labeled punk, pop, glam, I just wanted it to be good music.

Conway always has been compared to Brett, I personally never heard that, did we have a Poison influence, yes, they changed my life forever. Do we have Bowie and Cheap Trick and the Ramones as well, hands down.

I'm very proud of what Vamp accomplished, did we set the world on fire. no but hopefully created some pretty noise, and yes image was a priority!

    Eternally,
    Drew
